Sidebar is back up top
I happened to take a look at my blog from my hubby's computer tonight and saw that my sidebar was way down near the bottom of my blog! It looked fine on my laptop, but for some reason did NOT on his. I removed some photos and that seemed to fix it - so my sidebar should be back up top where it belongs now. If you notice that it's still not visible at the top where it should be, please let me know. Thanks so much!
Mystery Hostess Challenge
I had a few minutes to play along with Amy's AP sketch challenge today! Seeing all the great new Saltbox Studio images made me want to get out the farm animals, so here you go - a fun happy card to start the weekend! This was a fun layout to play with and I made a template using Amy's tutorial. My surf layer here was punched with a 1.25" circle punch and then the yellow kitchen layer is a 1 3/8" punch. The surf layer actually follows Amy's tutorial dimensions and the spacing between the circles is 7/16" (that will help you align them easily so that the center spacing doesn't look like too big of a gap). Inspiration Challenge
Playing along for fun again this week, here is my card for challenge 2 - Jenn's inspiration challenge over on the A-MUSE-A-PALOOZA blog! When I saw her inspiration piece, I immediately thought of fireworks. You may remember THIS card I created for Geeta's VMAA glitter challenge. I wasn't completely happy with that design, so I decided to create a new version leaving the sparkler sticks out of the firework bursts this time. I used the same "glitter lacing" technique but also changed the word stamps and card size. Ahhh - much better!

Make 5 more cards to celebrate the season using the newest stamps from the A Muse-a-Palooza 2008 holiday release!
These classes are all different, so take them all, and you'll leave with 15 holiday cards!
Students are required to bring a basic stamp kit to each class. Kit should include: sharp scissors, small ruler, adhesive (double-sided roller tape such as Kokuyo preferred) and a pencil.
All other materials will be provided.
Color Combo Challenge!
So fun! This is for A-MUSE-A-PALOOZA Challenge 1 - Geeta's Color Combo - which was to use Cabana blue, Passion purple and Kitchen Chocolate. I've had this idea in my mind for a while now - to use the Saltbox Studio Banner Year pole with the Birds on a Wire stamp - and it was fun to make some time to work on it tonight. Whenever I see birds perched in a row on a pole or wire, I always think they look as if they are having a "bird meeting". So the "Let's Chat" stamp was perfect! I experimented a little with arrangement of the color layers, and decided to use scraps on a natural card base. Sorta different, but I like it! What do you think, does it work? Lots of great cards to see from everyone playing the challenge - you can see them all over on the Splitcoast gallery --> here!

Paper Tales Grand Opening
Finally - my photos from Paper Tales! I was busy helping Linda most of the day, but I did get a few photos of the shop and some during class. Later, I realized that I didn't get many people photos - bummer! But it was great to see Michelle, Helle, and Linda again and to meet Vi (Linda's mom), Diane and all the wonderful stampers that attended class! And I'll be back in July to teach an A-MUSE-A-PALOOZA class - can't wait! (Click on the photos to see them bigger.)

And here is a new card design for you - inspired by the awesome A-MUSE-A-PALOOZA logo! I stamped the announcer and loopy frame on white cardstock and then cut it out and adhered it to the natural notecard. Putter
I was getting a little tired of looking at my hands in the youtube image for my bow tying video, so I decided I needed to post a card for ya! This is one from this week's inspiring ideas in the A Muse weekly (links in my sidebar if you aren't on the weekly email list). You've got to see Julie's awesome Putter design that's the card-of-the-week!
So anyhoo, as you can see by the Putter's attire, this card was inspired by Tiger Woods. And I wanted to capture the idea of being on the putting green, so that's how I decided to use the green marker outline around the images. Freehanded outlining isn't something I usually do, but I was pretty pleased with the results! *grin*

Tying a Ribbon Bow on a Gift Box
In celebration of my birthday this week, my gift to you is my first ever video tutorial! This video shows how to tie a ribbon bow on a gift box so that it crosses flat underneath.
