Baseball Season!

Here are two of my designs from the most recent A Muse weekly! This week is the first home game for our local Baseball team (class A - with a great stadium and a short drive). We love going to the games and my son has been waiting all winter for the season to start. This baseball card was based on one I did a while ago (here) and I was so excited to use the baseball stamp from the Sports clear set!

Then the design below uses the new lady golfer stamp. I love the pink and green together - not a color combo I usually use, but fun! I'm sooo not a golfer (well, except for putt-putt - lol!), but I do have a full set of clubs since my hubby builds them for fun. One of these days, I should learn to use them!

My son's preschool started up again this week (after a two-week spring break!). So I'm hoping to have some time soon to create some fun new designs to share with you. Gotta finish up an assignment first though - so I better get back to work - *wink*!

Fish *sneak peek*

One more sneak peek for ya! This adorable little fish is one of the images included in the new Oval Frames clear set (coming tomorrow!). I decided to color the front fish like a clown fish (inspired by "Finding Nemo" of course!) to make him stand out from the rest of the school. He also has some Spica glitter pen to make him *sparkle* and notice that he is also the leader! Then I used wave scissors to make the waves at the top (see this post for tips on how to cut straight with decorative scissors!)

Life is Good *sneak peek*

Ahhh - Life is good! This is a fun new sentiment in the A Muse spring release coming next week. I can see it being used alot! I was playing around with some older stamps last night, started putting things together and came up with this! I live in the desert, so I see sun, dirt, and palm trees ALOT. Now the water - not so much - but it sure would be nice, so that's why I included the water ribbon here. Then I added a little glitter pen on the palm tree leaves to make them *shimmer*.

The Journey is the Reward *sneak peek*

Woohoo - sneak peek time! This new A Muse runner stamp totally reminded me of the Nike commercial in the Mel Gibson/Helen Hunt movie "What Women Want". So that's what inspired this design! For the road, I used one of the stamps in the fancy borders clear set - which made it even easier! I also love that it's a simple one layer card. The sentiment isn't new but it's one of my favorites. What do you think, it's perfect paired with the runner, yes? I've seen a few other sneak peeks already this morning - so make sure to check out Elena, Erika, Heather, Michelle C, and Becky's blogs!

Happy Easter, hope you had a great weekend! Thought I'd share my Happy Spring card which was the card-of-the-week in the latest A-Muse-letter Weekly! Supplies and instructions for this card are available --> here. If you are an A Muse fan and aren't receiving the weekly email, you can click here to sign up! On this design, I actually used an orange pencil to color the carrots since it made them look a little more carrot-like but you could also use markers. For the dirt, I used the Big bl stamp (love that thing - comes in sooo handy!) with Creamy Brown Fluid Chalk ink, but you could use markers for that as well.
Then here is a bonus card for you! This is one of my other designs featured in the "inspiring ideas" section of the A Muse weekly.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Just playing around with a fun idea for St. Patrick's day! The Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy ink shimmers on it's own, but I decided to add even more with my Pebbles shimmer chalks. You can't really see it in the photo, but it is super shimmery in person. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Swimmers - Take 2

You may remember this post from last summer where I shared my swimmers COTW. When I saw the A Muse Fancy Borders clear set, I thought it would work great for this card. Well, I recently needed a card to send to my cousin for her divisional swim meet - so this was the perfect opportunity to finally test out my theory! So here I used the same basic design, but replaced the ribbon "lanes" and the "finish line" layer with stamped borders! I changed up the colors a bit as well (her team color is purple). Of course the new A Muse stitched ribbon would be great for the lane dividers too, but I just love how *easy* this was!

Close but not quite

Whenever I pass this shop at the mall, I think it'd make a fun blog post. I actually had my camera with me this time (a new one that fits in my purse!). Oh how I'd love it if it were THE A Muse shop instead. A girl can dream, right? As you can see, they don't sell stamps!

Feel Better
