Advent Calendar

Inspired by Ali Edwards and Martha Stewart's fun advent calendars. This is actually the first time I've made one. I didn't find boxes that were cheap or perfect in size, so I made my own using the same origami version I used for this treat box. Now since these are paper weight (using up more of the MME slab), they don't hold heavy things but that was ok with me since I was planning to fill them with stickers and little coloring pages that I created with stamps and black ink. My son is almost four, so he is just excited that he gets a surprise each day! The paper for the boxes is cut into four sizes: 6x6, 8x8, 10x10, and 12x12. Then the bottom of each box uses the same size paper minus about a quarter of an inch. The numbers are stamped using three different A Muse clear number sets - Paisley numbers, Stitched numbers, and the new Birthday Builders. I used a bulletin board and push pins to hang them since I knew I'd need to move it. (Too much temptation for a preschooler - two of the boxes have already been opened early - lol!)

I've been busy working on an A Muse assignment which I finished up yesterday. There are new stamps coming, so I'll try to whip up a sneak peek or two to share with ya next week!
