Great Greetings

While we're on the topic of flashbacks, here's another one for ya! I mentioned this in my bio on the A Muse Addicts forum, so I thought I'd post a photo. I had one of these when I was little and loved making cards with it. You just put three plates under the pink window along with a sheet of paper and then rub over them with the side of a crayon. Not sure what happened to my original Great Greetings set, but I found this one on ebay a while back along with a different version that makes trucks and thought it would be a fun thing to do with my son. He loves experimenting with art supplies while I'm working, and this actually holds his attention for a little while (with very little mess which is a definite bonus)!

Oh my! I totally remember the Fashion Plates thing that was just like this. How funny. Remember Milk the Cow? My sister had one. We saw one in an antique store once and busted up laughing.

I didn't have this, but I remember my big sister and her Fashion Plates. All three of us girls loved using that. I can totally see the fun of using this with one of my own children.

I totally owned this and LOVED it. I graduated to fashion plates too. I guess I've loved making cards for a very long time. Thanks for the flashback!

I had one of those too! I hated how limited my options were back then. Maybe that's why I have so many stamps now...

haha.. I had 'fashion plates' too, the one w/ the girls and the different outfits. My brother had one w/ monsters. I wonder if it's still in my parent's toolshed. :)

OMG I totally forgot that I had one of those. I use to make cards for everyone. Thanks for bringing back that memory. I need to check my mom's "Michelle" box and see if she has any of my very first cards. :D

OMG I had forgotten what they looked like. You made cards and pictures with it and Fashion Plates all the time. What a nice memory!
