I normally don't do much freehand cutting of images with scissors since I'm usually unhappy with the results. Give me something I can cut with a paper trimmer and I'm happy! But lately I've seen the benefits to cutting out an image. You can use paper scraps, pop it up on a dimensional, and test out different positions before tacking it down.
Taking inspiration from Pooh, the bear was stamped on Marigold Morning cardstock and then cut out. The log is the A Muse grad scroll (hee, hee - markers again!). I punched the scallop rectangle using a Marvy scallop square punch and then slid it back in so I could punch the fourth side separately to make it a rectangle instead of a square. Sentiment was computer generated.
Paper: SU Naturals Ivory, Kraft, Marigold Morning
Ink: StazOn black, Real Red and Close to Cocoa markers

VERY cute and clever!!! You really think outside the box. Who would have ever thought to use the graduation scroll as a log? Smart!! Love the card. Thanks for sharing!
