Scallop Punches
The Marvy-Uchida Clever Lever scallop punches are so fun to use! I've been using the Mega and Giga Circle, Oval, and Square. I got mine at www.uchida.com. You can find the Clever Lever style if you click on "shopping" and then "paper crafting". They also still have some of the old style punches on special - click on "Online Specials" on the top right of their home page.

Unfrogettable
Sometimes what you originally envisioned goes a completely different direction. That is what happened with this card I made for a friend who is finishing up her term as a club President. I was working on a scene with the frog on grass and a sparkly sun. Then I came up with this - I think I like it better. Everything except the ribbon and scallop punch is SU.

Woo Hoo!
Today has been a fun day - I won Jennifer Pebbles A Muse giveaway blog contest! Thanks Jennifer - I am so excited! I also got my new Stampin' Up catalog from Shanynn - she brought it over as soon as she opened the box! Thanks Shanynn! I even made a name frame baby gift and sent out two birthday cards! (I'd post pics, but then they wouldn't be a surprise.)
So here is the scoop on the new Stampin' Up catalog - it is awesome! Even though I've been stamping for five years, I am still amazed at how fresh the catalog looks every year. All I could think about while I poured over the pages was how much work it must take for everyone at Stampin' Up to create this fabulous book. To figure out new sets, colors, papers, prices, the catalog layout, and then make coordinated samples and photography for each page so every page is spectacular... my mind is spinning thinking about the number of people involved and the amount of work it must take. And if they are like most companies - hours of editing and decision-making too! How many samples do you think they made for each stamp set before they picked one that worked best for the page? Ok, I am off to work on my wishlist!

Magical Fairy
Got a chance to play with my new fairy stamp tonight. I think she is so magical and tried to really capture that magic on this card. It is very glittery in person - I just love Dazzling Diamonds! The fairy and sentiment are by A Muse. The swirly star background is Hero Arts. Paper and ink are Stampin Up.

About Me
I've always had a fondness for any type of paper craft. When I was little, I made cards for my family with my little "Great Greetings" fashion plate card maker. I remember going to the art supply store with my Dad every weekend where I got to pick out a fancy marker or two to add to my collection. I started stamping in 2001 when I attended my first Stampin Up party and have been loving it ever since! I also enjoy quilling and combining some of my quilled creatures with stamped card designs.
After a 10 year corporate career in Information Systems, I became a SAHM in 2005 when we moved across the country. Attending stamp camps has been a great way to make friends in a new city!
When it comes to my favorite stamping companies, I always want the scoop - to be in the know about anything new or retiring (new stamps, new paper, sales, etc) and that is how I came up with my pen name scoopy as well as the name of this blog.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my creations!

Card of the Week
One of my favorite lines of stamps - A Muse - is having "A Muse a Palooza" in July. Find out all about it: http://www.amuseapalooza.com
Their website inspired me to create! So here is my card of the week - in honor of their upcoming event.
