A Little Note

Last week the Dirty girls on Splitcoast posted their fabulous cards from Jami's Elzybells challenge. It was fun to see so many different designs all using the same stamp! I was inspired by their challenge so I couldn't resist getting my stamps out to play!

Laptop crash

I've been playing the PC recovery game since Sunday when my laptop crashed during a support call to fix a wireless driver. I had a backup, but of course it was from six months ago. This laptop is still in warranty luckily, but after the "fix" that they attempted failed miserably they decided it was a hardware issue. So that means I have to send it in for repair. I sooo don't want to part with it, but if the wireless will be working again when I get it back then it's worth it since I use it wireless most of the time.
I do still have an old PC, but I just wanted to let ya know that I might not be blogging much until I have my laptop back. I do have one project to share with you though - so stay tuned!

Thanksgiving Table Card

Here is a place card to go with the napkin ring. The computer generated font is Citadel Script. When I was in high school, I doodled words alot since I loved the look of Calligraphy. I considered using some Calligraphy here actually and dug deep into my stash to find one Calligraphy pen with some ink (my others had long since dried up), but decided after a few tries to go with a printed name instead.

Thanksgiving Table Napkin Ring

Inspired by one of Melissa's invitations where she used the Leafy Tree as an envelope seal. If you're ever at the A Muse shop, you must see her book of invitation designs! The leafy tree is one of my first and favorite A Muse stamps. I just love fall and most of the decor in my home is based on some sort of leaf theme and I usually sprinkle some silk fall leaves on my Thanksgiving table to give it a little color. I live in the desert, so many of the trees here are actually still green but we are starting to see a few changing to yellow. Not the same fantastic "show" of color that happens in cooler climates, but I'll take what I can get! Stay tuned, I have another Thanksgiving table idea to share soon!

For Mason

I designed this for my cousin Mason who turned eight this week. The soccer field background was made by using circle punches in different sizes. Happy Birthday Mason!
